U.T.” The building that houses the velodrome is completely covered, oval in shape, with an area of 27,935.32 m2, with thermal conditioning, and capacity for 5,750 seated spectators, equipped with all the necessary amenities and services to be among the best international velodromes, being the first in Argentina to be built under UCI (International Cycling Union) standards. It should be noted that the central space includes the possibility of hosting various sports disciplines, for which a parquet floor approved by various international sports institutions has been installed. It has a public pedestrian entrance in the East sector, from the general parking lot of the property. In the future, it will be connected to the main pedestrian traffic axis of the Ciudad Parque de los Deportes. About the Western sector, parking lots and access for authorities, press, special guests, athletes, judges and teams. The grandstands have six escape routes, which connect to an external perimeter circulation. The track has two tunnels that allow equipment to enter and for emergency situations, for ambulances to enter. The circuit has a route of 250 meters, with a width of 7m, with elevations and inclinations of minimum 12° and maximum of 47°, plus a 4m wide safety track, executed with a special multilaminar system, made entirely of wood, imported from Finland, by the company “Junek Velodromes”, one of the 3 approved by the UCI for the development and execution of velodrome tracks. The building has changing rooms, toilets, gym, weight rooms, workshops and all the requirements requested by the ICU to host national and international competitions. Equipment and services that allow the development of the other disciplines contemplated in the space of the multipurpose track center. It has reinforced concrete stands, under which the various equipment and public traffic are located. The roof is made up of a structure of reticulated beams and metal straps, sheet with thermal insulation. The external vertical closure is made of an aluminum sunshade system. The lighting of the court and central space is guaranteed in its entirety, in the event of a possible lack of energy supply, by means of generators, which allows the normal and continuous development of sports activities.
